Organized by Re-Use Italy, the forgotten church is a proposal to resurrect the ruins of ancient Roman architecture, specifically the Chiesa Druta church in Madera Italy. This building ______ (insert history) in the 15th century has not renovated since __ after the ... This proposal is to give new life to the historical building as a concert hall, by an inversion of the initial use of space. A closed private and sacred religious space, would be now an open, and elongated mass, with an outdoor auditorium positioned under a massive cantilever sky hall on the top floor that extends out to the view of the scenic village of Madera. Equipped with a tasteful cafe/ restaurant and gift shop on the first floor, this site is not restricted to a few annual performances, but rather a busy cultural ground that welcomes people with diverse programs such as private weddings to be held in the sky garden, a fancy weekend brunch, or even a cultural research session held in the ground floor at the community culture center. The resurrected mass, respects the original integrity of the ruin, with a structure that preserves most of the original structure, but adding a new take, function, of each of the spaces.
